Why these four
Most shapewear is made for a body it was never fitted to. These are cut on a grade that actually reaches you — the bra to a UK 48, the shorts to 18st 2lb, the bodysuits through a full plus range.
They answer the complaints we hear most: a bra that hurts by lunchtime, thighs rubbed raw by the walk home, lines printing through everything you own, and clothes that will not sit properly at the back.
How we chose them
Monarch is new. These are not our best sellers yet — three of them are our makers’ best sellers, and that is precisely why they are here.
We did not guess. We went through hundreds of pieces and kept only the ones that had already proved themselves: thousands of orders, ratings above 4.7, and a size grade that does not stop at a UK 16 the way most of the market does.
The Side-Zip Contour Bodysuit is the exception. It is here on our judgement, not on a sales figure — the side zip means you can get into it on your own, and it is the only piece in the range shaped to keep trousers hanging level at the back.
When these become our best sellers, we will say so — and it will be true.
